Kilim textiles are stunning - usually colorful and intricate with geometric patterns. Kilim, a Turkish word, describes a pileless textile. It has tons of uses and is produced by one of several flatweaving techniques that have a closely related heritage. It is practiced in the geographical area that includes parts of Turkey, North Africa, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia and China...according to kilim.com It has an old world feel that makes it so interesting and attractive.
